Established in July 1992 as a fully capitalized independent firm by Sakata Inx Corporation and Sakata Inx International Corporation, the Osaka, Japan-based SIIX Corp. is a multi-faceted corporate group emphasizing Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) through overseas bases. The company has established an integrated system incorporating every step from design, development, components procurement,
assembly and production through distribution and merchandising.

SIIX first entered the Thai manufacturing sector through a capital participation with the Thai electronic circuit maker Charoen Sakata (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in 1988. The company subsequently increased its shareholding in Charoen Sakata (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to 51 percent in June 2000 and to 100 percent in December of the same year, changing its name to SIIX EMS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. In 2001, the company expanded its operations by purchasing 13.7 rai of land in Samutprakan to build its own factory. In addition, SIIX EMS (Thailand) Co., Ltd. cooperated with Star Microelectronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in 1998 to offer rigid and flexible PCB assemblies as well as finished product assemblies.
